Laboratory of Mechanics of Sousse (LMS)

The Laboratory of Mechanics of Sousse was established in December 2011.

Research Program Objectives

  • Develop synthesis, analysis, and control models for mechanical and mechatronic systems.
  • Numerical integration of behavior models into finite element simulation codes, taking into account induced microstructural transformations.
  • Develop and characterize advanced materials for the benefit of high-tech industries (automotive, aerospace, biomedical, etc.).
  • Develop reliability-based approaches for optimizing manufacturing processes, surface finishing, and mechanical assemblies subjected to fatigue, fracture, and damage.
