The Laboratory of Advanced Technology and Intelligent Systems (LATIS) develops multidisciplinary research in the field of electrical engineering and information technology.
Its research activities revolve around four main themes: computer vision & Artificial Intelligence, document analysis and processing, electromagnetic compatibility and safety, renewable energies, Smart Grid, and machine control.
The various proposed projects involve image analysis and processing, securing individuals and virtual worlds, analysis and interpretation of biomedical signals, medical image processing, development of new methods for characterizing electromagnetic disturbances, integration of electromagnetic compatibility at the virtual prototyping stage, formal verification of safety and reachability of hybrid dynamic systems, and fault-tolerant diagnosis and control with applications to complex embedded systems.
The laboratory has about thirty teacher-researchers, including two professors and two associate professors, and around sixty doctoral students.
Signal, Image, and Document: Pattern recognition, multimodal biometrics and security, characterization segmentation, analysis and indexing of images, video tracking, etc.
Electromagnetic Compatibility of Transport Systems: Characterization and modeling of the Electromagnetic Compatibility of transport systems, reliability of electrical systems, etc.
Diagnosis and supervision, fault-tolerant control, formal verification, reachability, hybrid dynamic systems, etc. Smart Grid & Renewable Energies: Smart meters, PLC, modeling and stability of networks, integration of renewable energies, etc.
