The Doctoral School of Sciences & Engineering (EDSI) in Sousse is a doctoral school affiliated with the University of Sousse, Tunisia. It is responsible for the management, training, and supervision of doctoral students in disciplines related to fundamental sciences and engineering technologies.
It specifically coordinates doctoral training in five specialties, namely:
- Computer Science
- Mathematics
- Physical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
The main mission of EDSI is to train high-level researchers capable of producing innovative, rigorous research grounded in current technological and scientific realities.
It currently encompasses nine research laboratories, which are:
- LabEM – Laboratory of Energies and Materials
- LAMMDA – Laboratory of Mathematics: Deterministic and Stochastic Modeling
- LATIS – Laboratory of Advanced Technology and Intelligent Systems
- LMS – Sousse Mechanics Laboratory
- MAPSFA – Laboratory of Mathematics, Special Functions, and Applications
- MARS – Modeling of Automated Reasoning Systems
- NANOMISENE – Nanomaterials and Microsystems for Health, Environment, and Energy
- NOCCS – Networked Objects Control & Communication Systems
- PRINCE – Research Pole in Computer Science of the Center
